The majority of the debt came from starting my business, www.menuconnect.com, but debt is debt any way you look at it. Thank goodness I have unbelievable rates...

Anyways, we are starting to control our finances fairly well. The numbers are coming out to be very similar to our budget, and that makes our lives less stressful.

Debt-Free

Today I was crunching the numbers on my finances, and came out with some satisfactory results. In approximately two years, my wife and I will be debt free except our mortgage. What a day that will be!!!

Some background information is this...a little over three years ago we got married. Combine that, my wife's school debt, a honeymoon, a car, and starting a business, and we were fairly well buried. I would guess that we had about an average American's amount of debt for our age, but still, for me, it was always a huge stress.

One of my biggest desires is to be debt free, including my mortgage by the time I'm thirty-five. There is just such a relief and stress-free atmosphere with each passing debt we pay off, I can't imagine owing nothing! With a little luck and perseverance, I think we can make it!
